PSU Hispanic Music Festival to feature student and faculty performances

The next concert for Hispanic Heritage month at Pittsburg State University will feature students and faculty as they will perform their own pieces. This show will take place on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. in McCray Hall.

This recital will feature outstanding performances of Hispanic Composers by students and faculty from the Music Department at PSU. It includes vocal and instrumental works.

It is the third of six concerts planned as part of the first Pittsburg State University Hispanic Music Festival, organized by piano instructor Isaac Hernandez, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.

The recital will be a free concert, so come check out some great music by our own students and faculty.

Musicians from Mexico will come to campus as guest artists throughout the festival, which also will showcase students, faculty, alumni, and community members. A few performers are from Paraguay.
