Family Fun Day for children
Join in various children’s activities and get a PSU freebie and a meal voucher for select food vendors at GorillaFest. Activities are designed for children 3 to 12 years of age. Activities are designed for children 3 to 12 years of age and include interactions with live animals from Nature Reach, training like a cadet with ROTC, exploring science and technology with Pitsco, and discovering artistic masterpieces with a scavenger hunt. Fans begin lining the pathway between the Plaster Center and Carnie Smith Stadium to cheer on Gorilla football players and coaches as they enter “The Jungle." Players and coaches reach up to touch the hand of the bronze Champion Gorilla for luck. Directly after the Gorilla Walk, the Pride of the Plains Marching Band, the Pitt Cheer Squad, and the Crimson and Gold Dancers perform for all to enjoy.
