She finally returned to earn that degree in 2015 and bought the local consignment franchise Rhea Lana — a business that specializes in fashion, but in a way that helps moms help themselves and other moms.
With a portion of the proceeds from her upcoming sale, she plans to pay it forward to the next generation by starting a student scholarship in Pitt State’s Kelce College of Business.
Page and her husband, Jon, also a Gorilla, are no stranger to giving: when a tornado destroyed their home in Carl Junction in 2019, friends and strangers helped them out with basic needs.
“They rallied around us and it was a huge blessing,” Page said. “My husband and I and our family believe in finding ways to bless others, big or small, and a scholarship is a way to do that.”
The sale is planned for Sept. 12-16 at 2905 N. Broadway.
“So many of my family members have graduated from Pitt State, including my sister and brother-in-law, brother and sister-in-law, and my dad,” she said. “Now I’m proud to be a Gorilla, too.”
