Research Interests

My research interests focus on understanding and addressing financial disparities and well-being within marginalized groups. I am committed to gaining a deeper understanding of how LGBTQ+ individuals navigate financial spaces and manage financial experiences in a world often structured by heteronormative and cisnormative standards.

I am committed to improving LGBTQ+ inclusivity and competency within financial counseling and therapy fields. Many queer individuals face unique challenges, such as difficulty accessing affirming financial advice and support, limited pathways to financial literacy, and a lack of tailored financial guidance that reflects their unique life experiences. By conducting research on these issues, I seek to develop best practices and strategies for financial professionals to better serve LGBTQ+ clients, addressing disparities in service quality and ensuring that ALL clients have the tools and support needed for financial empowerment and well-being.
