For Teachers in their first three years of teaching in the culinary pathway

**Registration is open for the first 24 new culinary teachers**

Cost $50 (includes breakfast and lunch daily)

  • Chef Patrick Shibley, The Doo-Dah Diner owner
  • Jack Low, Culinary Teacher and past ProStart Teacher of the Year, Eudora Schools and former chef for Free State Brewing Co.

Objectives:

Teachers will learn and practice methods of teaching:

  • - professional safety and sanitation techniques
  • - knife skills
  • - cooking techniques
  • - culinary math and costing and measurement
  • - lab management procedures and evaluation
  • - equipment selection and maintenance

Teachers will

  • -participate in labs
  • -obtain teaching resources
  • -network with other culinary teachers
  • -become familiar with SB155, Articulation Agreements, ProStart, FCCLA
