Alon Goldstein is one of the most original and sensitive pianists of his generation, admired for his musical intelligence, dynamic personality, artistic vision and innovative programming — and he’s coming to Pittsburg!  

He has played with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the San Francisco, Baltimore, St. Louis, Dallas, Houston, Toronto and Vancouver symphonies as well as the Israel Philharmonic, London Philharmonic , Los Angeles and Radio France Orchestra, and has performed in prestigious venues and festivals throughout the world. 

Among many memorable recent experiences was the premiere Lost Souls with the Kansas City Symphony and Michael Stern, written for him by the noted Israeli composer Avner Dorman. Goldstein currently is serving as "Distinguished Visiting Professor” at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. 

About the Solo & Chamber Music Series:

All performances take place in the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall in McCray Hall. The season also includes performances by the Washington Cornett and Sackbutt Ensemble (September), saxophone virtuoso Otis Murphy (October), Third Coast Percussion (November), Calmus Vocal Ensemble (January), and Invoke (March).

Tickets are free to full-time PSU students with valid student ID.

Individual tickets for the public are $12 general admission, or $8 for those over 65 and under 18. Or, purchase the "Any Four Package" for $41 general admission, or $27 for over 65 and under 18. The complete season may be purchased for $54 general admission or $36 for over 65 and under 18.
