Transfer Student Checklist
Admission Checklist
- Request admission information on PSU approximately 2-3 months before planned enrollment.
- Complete the admission application and submit application fee online or submit the application fee to: Pittsburg State University, Admission Office, 1701 South Broadway Street, Pittsburg, KS 66762
- At least one month prior to attendance, make sure that PSU has received all transcripts from ALL prior colleges attended.
- If transferring for the fall semester, complete a scholarship application by February 1. And check with your major department for additional scholarship opportunities.
Financial Aid Checklist
- Complete your FAFSA! And add our school if you've already completed it. If you listed PSU as a school choice earlier in the year and decide not to attend, please contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance, so that we can update your file.
- Turn in all requested documents immediately.
- View your award offer. Once all information is collected and verified, you will receive an online Financial Aid Offer detailing the amount of aid you are eligible to receive, along with instructions on how to receive your Financial Aid Offers. You will be notified by e-mail when your online Financial Aid Offer is available through your GUS e-mail account. If you have not yet set up your GUS e-mail account, you will be notified through your preferred e-mail account.
- You will need to Verify Your Enrollment and, if accepting a student loan, complete Entrance Interview Counseling and a Master Promissory Note before any funds can be disbursed.
