7th Annual Faculty Professional Development Day - August 16, 2017

Pitt State faculty, mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 16, to join your colleagues in a day of learning and collaboration to kick off the new school year!

Dr. Charile NuttThis year's theme is “Maximizing Academic Advising to Promote Student Success." The day will start with a keynote address by Dr. Charlie Nutt.

Charlie L. Nutt was appointed as the Executive Director of the National Academic Advising Association in October 2007. Prior to this he served as the Associate Director of the Association for five years. Additionally, he was also Vice President for Student Development Services at Coastal Georgia Community College for nine years and Assistant Professor of English/Director of Advisement and Orientation for six years. He received his A.A. from Brunswick College, B.S.Ed. from the University of Georgia, M.Ed. and Ed.D. in Higher Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University.

The vision of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology is to develop and share teaching, learning, and technology resources and offer sustainable professional development to promote faculty achievement in teaching excellence.

Goal 1: Provide professional development for the enhancement of teaching excellence and student learning.
Goal 2: Provide programs and facilities to support the use of instructional technology.
