Due to the earlier ceremony, guest seating will begin approximately 40 minutes prior to the ceremony.

BEFORE AND AFTER
All persons who wish to participate in the ceremony are required to wear academic regalia. Candidates who have not already obtained caps and gowns should contact the University Bookstore (Student Center) or call 620-235-4875 immediately.
Handicapped parking permits may be obtained prior to December 15th from the Registrar's Office, Room 103, Russ Hall. Graduating students in wheelchairs or who need special accommodation at Commencement should contact the Registrar at 620-235-4206. There is designated seating in the arena for our guests who need accommodations. Persons requiring this seating should arrive early and seek assistance from the ushers, if needed. Doors are open for seating approximately 40 minutes prior to ceremony. Those with mobility concerns may be dropped off on Homer Street (northbound traffic lane) at the entrance to the Weede. Handicapped parking will be available on the north lot of the Garfield W. Weede Physical Education Building, the north lot of the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts and the parking lot west of the Garfield W. Weede Physical Education Building (first row on the east and south). See commencement parking map.
Guests who would benefit from close proximity to the video screen to better view the sign language interpreter, will find reserved seating in the far southwest corner of the bleachers until 10 minutes prior to the ceremony.
PHOTOS AT COMMENCEMENT
A professional photographer will photograph each graduate three times, including on stage at the moment the President shakes the student's hand. Full color proofs will be provided directly to the graduate by e-mail. Pictures can be ordered online, by phone or by mail. There is no obligation to purchase a photograph. You and your family may preregister an email address and mailing address with GradImages and they will contact you or your family just as soon as your photos are available for online viewing and ordering. You may also provide them with email addresses of up to six friends and family members to allow them to celebrate in your accomplishment. LIVE STREAM BROADCAST
PSU will webcast the Fall 2017 commencement via live stream at Pittstate.tv. The webcast will start shortly before the ceremony on December 15th. An archived copy of the ceremony will be available online at Pittstate.tv - simply select the video on demand option. A sign language interpreter will be part of the broadcast. Questions should be directed to University Marketing and Communication at 620-235-4122 Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
DVD's and BLURAY DISCS OF COMMENCEMENT
A recording of the Commencement ceremony will be available from the Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology, 332 Hartman Hall 620-235-4840, at a charge of $25.00 plus tax per DVD and BluRay Discs.
Please be wearing your regalia and pick up your name card at the East concession area and gather with your fellow graduates in the Plaster Center at least 20 minutes prior to your ceremony. See commencement map. Processional begins promptly 5 minutes prior to beginning of ceremony. Faculty Marshals will escort students and will lead degree candidates to their seats. If you wish to sit with another graduating student, be sure to walk behind or in front of that student. Childcare is not provided and children are not permitted to cross the stage with the graduate.
Conclusion of the Ceremony Graduates will return to their seats after walking across the stage to receive their degrees. Please remain seated until the conclusion of the ceremony so that every graduate may be appropriately recognized on this special occasion.
Please do not leave personal belongings in the assembly room. Cell phones should be turned off during the ceremony. A lost and found will be located by the name card table during the ceremonies. After the ceremonies have concluded for the evening, the lost and found items will be located at University Policy and Parking Services, in the basement of Shirk Hall.
