The Phi Kappa Phi Forum welcomes submissions of original, previously unpublished poetry from active Society members that fits the theme of each edition.
For winter 2016, the theme is migration. The submission deadline is September 16. Submissions must be under 40 lines and must reflect the theme of the edition.
Poems will be selected to appear in the print version of the magazine, though others may appear online. Selected poets will receive five free copies of the Forum in which their verse appears. Previous winners must wait one year before entering again. Send your poem, contact information, a photo and a short bio, including your Phi Kappa Phi chapter affiliation and member number, to firstname.lastname@example.org.

During the 2014 Biennial Convention in St. Louis, Pittsburg State University Professor and Alumni Randy Winzer was elected as the 2014-2016 South Central Regional Vice President. Winzer will serve as the society’s vice president of the south central region, which includes Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Pittsburg State University Phi Kappa Phi Announces 2016 Initiates and Award Winners
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is pleased to announce the 2016 initiates into the Phi Kappa Phi Chapter at Pittsburg State University, Chapter 213. Their Initiation Ceremony was held at Pittsburg State University in the Crimson & Gold Ballroom at the Overman Student Center at 3:00 p.m. on April 10, 2016. Local chapter president,Dr. Peggy Snyder, presided over the ceremony. The program included opening remarks by Dr. Steve Scott, President of Pittsburg State University and guest speaker, Dr. Kathleen Sandness, Medical Director of the Student Health Services at Pittsburg State University.
Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 213 is proud to announce theirChapter 213 Award winner for 2015-2016, Lavon Clark and the Chapter’s nominee Lauren Simmons for the 2015 PKP International Fellowship Award
Lavon Clark will graduate from PSU in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in Social Work. Following graduation, she will be pursuing a Master of Social Work at Missouri State University. During her undergraduate studies at PSU, Lavon served as Treasurer of Social Work Plus and of Phi Alpha Honor Society. She is currently the President of Social Work Plus. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Alpha Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi. She resides in Joplin, MO with her husband, Will Clark.
Each spring, every local chapter of Phi Kappa Phi is asked to forward one single nominee to the National Headquarters to compete for one of dozens of Fellowship Awards. Pittsburg State University, Chapter #213 selected Lauren Simmons as our 2015 fellowship nominee. Lauren graduating will be graduating in May2015 with a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology and Exercise Science and a double minor in Physical Science and Chemistry. She was accepted into the Wichita State University's Master of Physician Assistant Program and will be starting in June.
