Appointment Dates for
Academic Year 2010-2011
and Fiscal Year 2011

Dr. Lynette Olson has established the dates for academic year appointments.

All new tenure earning allocations and appointments should use the following dates: August 17, 2010, through May 14, 2011

All new full-time non-tenure earning allocations and appointments should use the following dates: August 17, 2010, through May 14, 2011

All returning nine-month faculty will be appointed with the following dates: August 17, 2010, through May 14, 2011

Part-time section appointments should use the following dates:
Academic Year: August 17, 2010, through May 14, 2011
Fall Semester only: August 17, 2010, through December 17, 2010
Spring Semester only: January 14, 2011 through May 14, 2011

Graduate Teaching Assistants should use the following dates:
Academic Year: August 17, 2010, through May 14, 2011
Fall Semester only: August 17, 2010, through December 17, 2010
Spring Semester only: January 14, 2011 through May 14, 2011

New Faculty Orientation will take place on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 (for new tenure earning faculty only) and Wednesday, August 18, 2010 (for both new tenure earning and new non-tenure earning faculty).

Opening Faculty Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010

Departmental meetings will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010

IMPORTANT Pay Date Information:
Academic Year appointments will have 20 pay dates (September 3, 2010 through May 27, 2011)
Fall Semester only appointments will have only 10 pay dates (September 3, 2010, through January 7, 2011) **
Spring Semester only appointments will have only 9 pay dates (February 4, 2011, through May 27, 2011) **

**Note: there is a 1 pay period break between the Fall and Spring semester appointments, with no salaries paid.

All returning fiscal year appointments will be appointed with the following dates: June 13, 2010, through June 11, 2011

New fiscal year appointments should be appointed with the following dates: June 14, 2010, through June 11, 2011

Those employed as of Sunday, June 13, 2010, or Monday, June 14, 2010, will receive their first paycheck on July 9, 2010, the first pay date in Fiscal Year 2011. If an actual start date is later than June 14, 2010, wages will be prorated using the fiscal year rate for time worked.
