Campus operations postponed until 10 a.m. Further information
The Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK) – in collaboration with PSU Student Health Services -- provides on-site dental services on Fridays at the Bryant Student Health Center for any Pittsburg State University student.
Comprehensive Oral Exams: A clinical, visual, and tactile inspection and investigation mouth used to assess, diagnosis, evaluate and plan potential treatment. Usually includes x-rays.
Cleanings: Scaling and polishing of the teeth to remove plaque, calculus and stains.
Simple Restorative Procedures: This includes simple fillings and extractions.
All services are provided by licensed dentists and hygienists who are specially trained to work outside of the dental clinic using portable equipment designed for this purpose.
CHC/SEK will bill Kansas Medicaid (KanCare) and Commercial insurance (if available) which should cover the cost of the visit. Students who meet income guidelines may obtain services at a rate of $35 per visit. For students applying for financial assistance, proof of income will be requested. However, no one will be denied services due to inability to pay.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact the Bryant Student Health Center at 620-235-4452.
The Bryant Student Health Center will not be receiving payments for any dental services provided by the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas Dental Clinic. Any charges incurred for dental services will be billed by CHC/SEK and any questions will be handled through their office.
