OIS offers workshops for technology training to support the various technologies utilized across campus. Hands-on workshops with additional training documents and video tutorials allows users across campus to learn new skills and effectively use the resources available. NEW STAFF ORIENTATION - Office of Information Systems
New to Campus? Join us for a New Staff Orientation to learn the ins and outs of available Information Technology. The sixty minute training session will include a general session on how to navigate the Pittsburg State University website, how to access and get the most out of the Zimbra email suite, and how to get around in GUS, the campus administrative system. Find how to locate your electronic pay stub, access campus documents, reset passwords, use the campus email and calendaring system, find important job related information, and sign-up for additional technology trainings.

Evernote by learning all of the ins and outs of the tools and features. This follow-up hands-on workshop will get you up and running building your own notes, notebooks and utilizing all of the available tools as well as demonstrating notebook sharing and protection features, so your privacy is maintained at all times. Please download the Evernote app to your mobile device prior to the workshop and take note of your username and password as we will be working with both the mobile app and web version of Evernote.
IT Brown Bags
With an ever-expanding digital world, each and every one of us needs to do our part to make sure that both our offline and online lives are kept safe and secure. Join us for a Brown Bag lunch with Amanda Williams, IT Security Office, leading the discussion on steps you can take to keep your personal information safe. Topics include dealing with personal information both on and offline, identifying spam and phishing scams, and how to best protect against information theft.
