Payments on Student Accounts
Tuition and fees, housing, and various charges and fines are to be paid at the Cashiers and Student Accounts Office located in Horace Mann Room 112. Students are encouraged to pay their University charges as they become due. The University catalog has published the deadline for payment of tuition and fees for each semester. You may locate this information on the University Calendar. The dates for each semester's tuition and fee payment are published in the specific semester's schedule.
Students may pay for housing, tuition and fees online, by mail, or in person.
Pay Online :
MasterCard, VISA, Discover, American Express or eCheck may be used online to make payment. To pay online, simply log on to your student portal (GUS) and select Student Accounts. Students may select eCheck, which is a FREE option. If a credit card option is selected, the payer will be charged a 2.9% convenience fee. If you have a debit card that you wish to use, choose to pay using the FREE eCheck option utilizing your bank account and routing numbers rather than credit card option in order to avoid the 2.9% convenience fee. If you need assistance in paying online, the Office of Cashiers and Student Accounts will have a payment center available for students or authorized payers use.

Cash, check, and money orders will only be accepted by the cashiers located in the Office of Cashiers and Student Accounts, Room 112 Horace Mann. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. An after hours payment drop box is available until 4:30 p.m in Horace Mann. Cashiers in the Office of Cashiers and Student Accounts will not be able to process credit card transactions for housing, tuition and fees.

Tuition and Fee Deferments
Students whose financial assistance award file is complete, but the funds have not arrived at PSU by the tuition and fee payment deadline are eligible to receive a financial assistance deferment. Students seeking this deferment must see the Student Financial Assistance Office, located in Horace Mann Room 103, to complete a deferment contract. Tuition and/or Housing payment contracts will be available online only. Pittsburg State University understands that many families prefer to pay their housing and/or tuition and fees in monthly installments. PSU is offering a payment plan that allows students to pay their housing and/or tuition during the fall and spring semesters in four installments. Tuition may be paid in two installments in the summer. There is no payment plan in the summer for housing charges.
Students may either enroll themselves or authorize another individual to make payment on their behalf. By signing up for the plan by August 5th for the Fall semester or by January 5th for the Spring semester, the student or authorized payer may make four (4) installment payments. Enrollment after these dates may require a larger initial payment. Users may choose to set up automatic payments from a checking or savings account (at no additional cost) or by credit card, MasterCard, VISA, Discover, or American Express (2.9% convenience fee will be applied). The due dates of payment plans will be the 5th of the month.

How do I participate?
Payment plans will be hosted by CASHNet and offers full PCI compliant security. CASHNet has been a service provider to universities for over 20 years. Students should sign in to their student portal (GUS) and select Student Accounts, where you will be redirected to CASHNet's secure website. Students may also designate authorized payers to be able to make payment or to enroll for the payment plan on their behalf.
How do I make my payments?
Payment plan account monthly payments may be made either manually or automatically. If you select the manual payment method, you would login each month and make monthly payments from one or more bank or credit card accounts. The payment plan offers users the ability to store banking and/or credit card information for online payment plan payments, with the ability to update or change them as needed. The storage of payment profile information is done with full PCI compliant security.

Is there a cost for the tuition and/or housing payment plans?
The enrollment fee to register for each Payment Plan is $25 (i.e. if a student wishes to enroll in a tuition payment plan and a housing payment plan, there will be a $25 charge for the tuition payment plan an an additional $25 charge for the housing payment plan). This enrollment fee is assessed for each semester in which the student enrolls in the payment plan.
Is there a late fee for a late or missed payment?
Yes, a payment plan late fee of $25 per late or missed payment will be assessed to the specific student's account in which the payment was late. Additionally, a hold will be placed on the student's record.

Those students who are sponsored (paid) by a third party will need to complete the Third Party Sponsor Authorization Form and return completed form to the Cashiers and Student Accounts Office.
