The new fall semester at Pittsburg State brings with it a new challenge for Peter Rosen, new chair of the Department of Accounting and Computer Information Systems
Rosen joined the Pitt State faculty this summer after spending nine years at the University of Evansville in Indiana, where he served as associate professor of management information systems.
“I’m incredibly happy and excited to be at Pittsburg State,” Rosen said. “This is an excellent campus in a great community, and the programs here are first class. Students are back, and I’m very proud to call myself a Gorilla.”
Rosen, who grew up in California, earned a Ph.D. in management information systems from Oklahoma State University in 2005. He earned a master of business administration from San Diego State University in 1996 and a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1988.
Along with overseeing the ACIS department, Rosen also teaches computer information and management information systems courses in the Kelce College of Business.
