Position Responsibilities: The Director of Strategic Communication for University Strategic Initiatives (USI) reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and is entrusted with and responsible for all aspects of internal and external communication, promotion, and marketing for USI and all departments/units within USI including: EnterprisePSU, Kansas Polymer Research Center, Government & Community Relations, PSU Research Foundation and Block22. The Director of Strategic Communication will foster strong connectivity and coordination with University Marketing and Communications to insure strategic alignment and message consistency with broader University marketing and communication priorities. The Director of Strategic Communication works closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Student Initiatives on strategic efforts, special projects and initiatives. The Director of Strategic Communication has responsibility for promotion, communication, membership relations, and community engagement for Block22 development, programing and operations and will work closely with University Housing to support and promote the success and full integration of the residential component of Block22.

Minimum Requirements: Graduate degree in communication, journalism, marketing, public relations or related field of study with five years of successful experience in public relations, marketing or in related field required. Must demonstrate a desire or willingness to work in a collegial environment with shared governance, and to establish and cultivate relationships inside and outside the University.
