Position Responsibilities: The Department of Technology and Workforce at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications to teach courses associated with technology & engineering education, workforce development, industrial technology, or technology courses. Specifically, position is responsible for: 1) teaching technology & engineering education courses and courses supporting BS in Workforce Development; 2) a full-time teaching load (typically 12 credit hours) each semester, either online or on-campus, 3) advisement and recruitment of students into College of Technology programs, 4) assisting with college-wide activities and workshops, 5) assisting with reports and committee assignments associated with education programs.

Minimum Requirements: MS in technology education, and BS in technology education, industrial technology, engineering technology or engineering, workforce development, or a closely related area. Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in teaching technology & engineering education, grades 6-12, including managing laboratory experiences; relevant industrial-related work experience. The overall qualification will be evaluated based on teaching experience, education, diversity of background, industrial experience, higher education teaching experience, ability to communicate, enthusiasm for developing more effective programs/curricula, level of scholarship, participation in professional societies, and certifications/licenses.

Preferred Qualifications: Have a doctorate related to the field or if not a doctorate be ABD in a doctoral program and/or possess an Ed.S. Possess additional teaching licenses and certifications in technology education, STEM, and related fields. Have experience advising student organizations and program advisement. Have a record of university, college and/ or community service activities. Have a record of professional development. Have experience teaching online / WEB based courses.
