Position Responsibilities: Faculty Position Announcement, Technical Teacher Education, Pittsburg State University. The Department of Technology and Workforce Learning at Pittsburg State University announces the availability of a nine-month, tenure earning Assistant Professor position in the area of Technical Teacher Education.

Minimum Requirements: Requirements for the position include teaching experience in a career and technical education program (trade and industrial, family and consumer sciences, or health occupations) at the secondary or post secondary level. Teaching experience at the university level is preferred. Have demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on and off-campus in career and technical education in the areas of: 1) curriculum development; 2) student assessment development; 3) adult learner; 4) workplace learning; 5) safety in CTE programs; and 6) needs assessment.

Preferred Qualifications: Work experience in a career and technical education occupational area is preferred. Other responsibilities: serving as an academic advisor for on and off-campus graduate and undergraduate students; conducting a program of research associated with career and technical education; participating in service to the university and the profession; and supervising teachers in internship settings. Master degree required in career and technical education (or related field) with a preference given to those with a doctorate or work towards a doctorate degree (in CTE or related field). The doctorate is required for tenure.
