Position Responsibilities: The normal teaching load is four classes (12 hours) a semester. The successful applicant will teach courses in some of the following areas: Career Management, Nutrition & Health, Consumer Education, Career & Technical Education in FCS Curriculum, Techniques of Teaching in Family & Consumer Sciences, Supervision of Student Teaching, Professional Skills, Family Resource Management, Food Science and Preparation, and others as determined by departmental need as well as the knowledge and skills of the instructor. Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and advising along with service is required for the position.

Minimum Requirements: Masters in Family & Consumer Sciences or other related area, Bachelor degree in Family & Consumer Sciences Education or related area. Three years successful teaching at the secondary level in Family & Consumer Sciences. Holds or has held teaching license in Family & Consumer Sciences.

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree and at least two years of successful college/university level teaching experience, and enjoy working with students in advising student group settings are preferred. Active in professional organizations appropriate to content.
