Typical Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, with attendance at night and weekend activities as needed.

Position Responsibilities: Pittsburg State University is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as Director of the regional Kansas Small Business Development Center (KSBDC) in the PSU Center for Innovation & Business Development (CIBD). The individual will provide operational oversight of all programs and activities of the regional KSBDC and is responsible for marketing, scheduling, and offering individual counseling and business development programs to entrepreneurs and existing small businesses. The successful candidate will be a key member of the PSU CIBD team and will help advance its mission. The CIBD mission focuses on connecting the expertise, knowledge, and capacity of the University with community and business partners to advance PSU, facilitate commercializeable innovation transfer, support business development, and foster economic and community development for the region.

Minimum Requirements: Minimum qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree in business or related field, outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, five years successful experience in using business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
