Position Responsibilities: There are three TCSC positions in the Center who work together or independently to provide client, technical and stage services. It is the duty of the TCSC to guarantee the safe and successful execution of events through the successful operation and staffing of events by way of effective planning and organization of technical services as part of a team. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: technical crew hiring, training, management, scheduling, and supervision, expense and inventory tracking for technical services, design of artistic technical elements, production and facility safety, and coordination of technical services with performing groups. The main stage is equipped with a full fly system and 66 ft open grid, the TCSC will have to work comfortable at height. For some events the TCSC will work as the only full time staff in the building supervising student technicians in the operation of events.

Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in technical theater or related field is preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in technical theater production. Experience in technical theatre and stage management techniques including lighting and sound plots; stage sets and drawings; rigging and ground plans; state-of-the-art theatre equipment and materials; safety rules and practices pertaining to backstage theatre work. Computer experience including Computer Aided Design, office software, (i.e. word processor, spreadsheets and databases), Protools and Digital Audio Network control.

Other Information: The Bicknell Family Center for the Arts is 90,000+ sqft, opened in December of 2014, and houses two theaters, (a 280 seat flexible use theater and a 1100 seat proscenium stage theater), an art gallery, a workspace for an artist-in–residence, a private reception room, a rehearsal space (under construction) for large musical groups, and various technical and support spaces.
