Position Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach primary and secondary methods courses as well as K-12 Art Education theories and practices, supervise student teachers, and encourage student professional involvement in professional development at the state and national level. Additional responsibilities will include participation in reviews, recruitment, working with the College of Education, continual development of the art education program, as well as service to the department, college, university and community.

Minimum Requirements: Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree in a related field and teaching experience beyond the graduate T.A. level. K-12 educational system art teaching experience and familiarity with a variety of traditional studio materials and methods and a commitment to teaching and professional achievement is required.

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree and at least two years of successful college/university level teaching experience, as well as leadership experience in community arts programming.
