Position Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to teach accounting courses in internal auditing and in other areas of accounting including financial reporting, accounting systems, auditing, or managerial accounting at the undergraduate levels with a twelve-hour-per-semester load fall and spring semesters. Candidate will be expected to participate in University service, provide student advisement, make contributions to academic engagement, assist in recruitment efforts, and serve as faculty advisor for student organization(s). Candidate will support professional certification programs in accounting, such as CPA, CIA, CFE, and CMA. Candidate should hold certification in accounting (such as CPA, CIA, CFE, CMA). Candidates without certification in internal auditing (CIA) are expected to complete the certification process within 5 years as a requirement for continued employment at PSU.

Minimum Requirements: Education: Graduate degree in business or in accounting (MBA, MPA, MPAcc or other graduate degree closely associated with teaching of accounting) from accredited schools with an anticipated completion by July 15, 2018. Work experience: Full time employment in industry, business, government or education for a period of no less than 4 years. Work experience should be related to accounting with managerial and executive level experiences. Certifications: Dedication/progress toward completion of internal audit certification.

Preferred Qualifications: Education: Earned graduate degree in business (with accounting emphasis) or accounting from accredited schools. Work experience: Full time employment in industry, business, government or education with professional experiences in governance, risk, compliance, internal audit for a period of at least 4 years. Work experience should be related to accounting with managerial and executive level experiences. Certification: Maintain certification in internal audit (CIA) and accounting (CPA). Teaching/academic experience: Teaching experience and record of scholarly work are highly desired. Membership(s) in regional, state, or national associations related to teaching of internal audit (IIA membership) and accounting is (are) desired.
