Upon successful competition of this course, participants will have passed the ServSafe Food Managers Instructor exam and will then be able to complete the required online exams to become a ServSafe Instructor.
Jerry Marcellus MS, CCE, HAAC began his career as a culinary educator in August of 1998 when he accepted the position of high school culinary arts instructor at Broadmoor Technical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. As the teacher of that program he developed the curriculum for both the culinary arts and commercial baking programs and worked with the district superintendent and principal to develop the schools fine dining restaurant called the "The Broadmoor Bistro" which is still in operation today. While teaching at Broadmoor Technical Center, Chef Marcellus earned his Masters of Science in Technical Teacher's Education from Pittsburg State University.
Chef Marcellus has been the ServSafe Instructor for the Missouri Restaurant Association for the past 18 years and has recently completed the NSF's HACCP for Food Processors Course
