Duties of apparel merchandisers include: selecting and buying fabrics, dealing with color, silhouette, and style trend information, seeking out the most efficient means of manufacturing marketing the product, selling the products to retail buyers, working for a retailer at the corporate level (like at Walmart headquarters, for example), and working at the retail level (in the store, or as a district / regional manager or visual merchandiser)
