Mike Leiker teaches Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, and directs the Human Performance Lab. He earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Fort Hays State University and earned his Doctorate in Adult and Higher Education from The University of South Dakota.

Mike is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Association (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist), and the Clinical Exercise Physiologists Assosiation. He has given several presentations at the state, regional, and national levels. Previously, Mike taught at Fort Hays State University and The University of Tennessee at Martin.

In the private sector, Mike owns and operates Ticker Timing, a track & field timing service. Since 2001, he has worked major track & field events around the country as an automatic timer, including NCAA Championships, USAT&F events, AAU National Championships, and US Olympic Team trials.
