THE UNIVERSITY POOL IS OPEN TO ALL CURRENT PSU STUDENTS, FACULTY/STAFF, RETIRED FACULTY/STAFF AND THEIR DEPENDENTS
Aqua Aerobics- Increase your cardiovascular endurance with this high endurance, low impact aerobics class. This class is a mix of shallow and deep water exercises combined with lap swimming to boost your cardio strength and endurance.
Aqua Flex- Improve your range of motion, flexibility, balance, and reduce muscle fatigue or soreness through a variety of stretching mechanisms. Focus on proper joint and muscle group alignment as well in order to improve the ease of everyday activities.
Deep Water- Swimming in water where you physically cannot touch is a challenge in itself. This class will incorporate high-intensity, non-impact strength and cardiovascular movements that provides you with a balanced workout.
Hydro Training- Water provides a twelve times great resistance compared to air without causing added stress on joints and ligaments. Participants will build strength through intensive cardiovascular work, intervals, plyometric, and body weight training. Aim to improve your muscular strength and endurance as well as your cardiovascular conditioning in this class.
Aqua Circuit- Through a combination of cardio and strength training exercises participants will progress through a series of stations for a total-body workout. Classes may consist of both in and out of water movements.
Group and Private Swim lessons are provided. Private lessons are available upon request! Prices for private lessons varies based on length and number of sessions. Please contact us for more information regarding private lessons.
