- Teachers will walk away from this workshop with the confidence to teach students how to conduct a basic traffic stop. Handouts will be given to teachers who attend this workshop on the basic verbiage and checklists that will allow teachers to easily conduct labs and assessments on traffic stops.
- Wear comfortable clothes because we will start in the classroom but end in the parking lot practicing the skills needed to conduct traffic stop with students when they return to their districts. This will also help LPSS teachers who interested in getting their students involved in Skills USA competitions.
Crystal Simmons has been teaching Social Studies at USD 265 for the last 20 years. Starting in 2013 she started teaching the LPSS program at Eisenhower High School. Crystal currently serves on the Police Science Industry Advocate Team for WATC where she teaches her Law 1 and Law 2 classes for dual credit. Recently Crystal served on the State LPSS revision committee.
